What Every Business Must Know About Installing A Track Light

!±8± What Every Business Must Know About Installing A Track Light

Any business should carefully consider the design and lighting of their stores or shops in order to give customers an experience that is pleasing and memorable whenever they visit. Shop lighting is one aspect that the company should also invest on, because the store is what people see before deciding to avail themselves of any product or service. One way to do this is to install a track light that can draw attention to a particular set of products. There is no need to worry about high electricity bills because low voltage lights are already available in the market at present. A business may want to use track lights to showcase the newly released products, draw attention to a poster or painting, or just to simply make the shop look more warm and inviting. Whatever the purpose is, the following are what every business should know before installing these fixtures.

Determine the Location Where It Will Be Installed

It is important to know exactly where the light will be placed and which area would need to be highlighted. There may be a need to make several measurements in that area as well, in order to select the appropriate lighting fixture as well as to know where to install it best. Ideally, an area where there is an existing ceiling light with a junction box and source of power should be selected. This is a convenient place to install a track light, but if the preferred area does not have an existing power source nearby, the exposed wiring that will run from the light to the power supply may not be very pleasing to the eye. Once that the location has been identified, installing the track light is the next challenge that businesses must deal with.

Removing the Current Lighting Installed

Replacing existing fixtures with track lights should be properly done as well. Before starting any kind of work, make sure that the breaker box is turned off so as to keep the worker safe from any electrical accidents. The light is most likely mounted on the ceiling or a wall, so having a ladder ready would come in handy. The wire connectors will be disconnected in the process, the both ends of which should be kept away from each other as much as possible. After successfully removing the existing lighting fixtures, the track light should be ready for installation.

Installing the Track Light

Having all the tools and materials ready can pave way for the smooth and easy installation of the track light inside the shop. Aside from the ladder needed to dismantle the existing ceiling lamp, tools such as a screwdriver or Phillips, a drill, electrical tape, measuring tape, cables, a voltage meter and wire nuts should also be prepared ahead of time. To be safe, having the whole toolbox ready and within reach will be very convenient for the person doing the work. If the track to be installed is very large, the weight may be too heavy for a single person to mount. Having an assistant on standby can do the trick and make everything else easier for everyone. Screwing the bulbs carefully is also an important aspect of this task, as most are very delicate and might not work if not properly screwed. Once the track light is installed, turning the switch on and off should allow the people to check whether the installation was done correctly and if it works the way it should.

Track lights not only draw attention to objects, it can also help brighten up the shop, store or restaurant. The mood that it creates inside the room gives customers a unique feeling every time they enter a store. This way, they will leave happy because of the product or service they purchased as well as the pleasant experience they had while in there.

Improving the shop lighting should not be stressful at all for business owners. If equipped with the right amount of knowledge, information and tools, installing a track light inside the shops to highlight particular products would be smooth and hassle free. Low voltage lights allow businesses to take advantage of the benefits that the right amount of lighting can provide without having to worry about high electricity bills.

iConceal - How to hide TV cables

The main reason people don't hang their flat panel TV on the wall is they don't know what to do with all those freaking cables that are needed to connect your TV to all your other AV gear. In the past the only solution has been to bury the wires in the wall as all the surface mounted conduits have been made from cheap plastic which spoil the look of the TV....that is, until now....As you can see in the video the iConceal cable management system, which is made from high quality coated aluminium, is so light it can be fixed to the wall with high bond two sided tape. It not only looks cool but is so ridiculously easy to fit a badly trained chimp could do it........but as we coudn't find or afford the chimp we used Dave !...... www.iconceal.tv anything else is a compromise
